This policy explains what personal information Grit Studio collects through gritanim.com, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: hello@gritanim.com.

Visiting the website

The website is hosted by Vercel. To deliver pages and protect the site, Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is handled by Vercel as our hosting provider; we don't use it to identify you.

Contacting us

When you use our contact form, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email address and message) by email, delivered through our email provider, Resend. We use them only to respond to you.

Client Hub

Client Hub is for Grit Studio clients. If you have an account, we store your account details and the information shared through your projects with our database provider, Supabase, and use them to provide our services. Client Hub uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in.

Grit Originals story notifications

When you sign up on a Grit Originals story page (currently Mira's Soul), we collect your email address, your name if you choose to give it, and a record of your consent: the wording you saw, the page and the time. We use them only to send the notifications described on that page. For Mira's Soul, that is at most two emails: one with the release date, and one when the story is available to read. We don't send newsletters, and signing up for one story doesn't sign you up for others.

To limit repeated or automated sign-up attempts, our system also keeps a temporary, one-way code derived from your IP address. It is used only for that purpose.

Your sign-up is stored with Supabase. When a notification is sent, your email address and name are also processed by Resend, which delivers the email and tells us whether it was delivered, bounced or marked as spam.

Every notification includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. If you unsubscribe, we keep a protected opt-out record — a coded form of your address rather than the address itself — so that we don't email you again, including after your sign-up details have been deleted. To rejoin after unsubscribing, contact us. We keep your sign-up only for as long as we need it for that story's notifications, or until you ask us to delete it.

Service providers and international transfers

We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database) and Resend (email). They process information on our behalf and may do so in the United States and other countries, under their own security and data-protection terms. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@gritanim.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before signing up for notifications or contacting us.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date above.
